This Valentine's Day, Laugh Away Hunger with Your Sweetheart

Release: "Comedy With A Twist" event to benefit Rhode Island Community Food Bank



“Comedy With A Twist”, a stand up comedy show to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, debuts at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club at Twin River Casino, Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Have fun for a great cause and be treated to an exciting showcase presenting some of Rhode Island's best new and veteran comedians. Headlining the evening is Mike Murray, aka "The Deaf Comic", winner of 2011 RI Comic Throwdown. The stellar line-up features comic legend, Frank O'Donnell with Catch A Rising Star premier attractions John Morris, Jen Munroe and up-and-coming Mike Casey. Host for the evening is Rhode Island’s own Mark Shea. Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club is a 200-seat, 18+ venue located at Twin River Casino, a world-class gaming, dining and entertainment destination with over 4,700 slot machines, simulcasting, event center and a host of dining options. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $15 with a portion of all ticket sales benefit RICFB.

Host Mark Shea has organized this event as a member of the “1 of 52” Hunger Network. This unique network unites caring individuals state-by-state who use their special talents to take action in 1 of 52 weeks a year. Network founder Steve Maciel reports: “Many of our events center around music and the arts and we’re proud to announce this is the first comedic “1 of 52” Event in our 25 year history. Shea shows how individuals can use any talent they may have to make a major difference.
