About 36,000 people are expected to run the Boston Marathon on Monday.
Woonsocket's Meghan MacDonald, 38, is the only city resident registered to run the race.
The marathon is expected to be an emotion-filled event following last year's bombings. Officials have instituted a host of security measures. And unlike in previous years, unregistered "bandit" runners will be prohibited.
