Cash Mobbers Called to Walnut Hill Parking Lot Dec. 3

Just after Small Business Saturday Nov. 30, two area businesses are due to receive an extra bump in foot traffic thanks to a cash mob scheduled for Dec. 3.

The two mystery businesses due motivated shoppers' attention will be somewhere in the vicinity of the Walnut Hill Parking Lot, 1500 Diamond Hill Road, where cash mobbers are being asked to meet, in front of the former Shaw's Supermarket.

Cash mobs, part of a cooperative effort by the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce (Serving communities from Smithfield to Woonsocket) and the Blackstone Valley Independent Business Alliance, gather a large group of people who agree to spend $20 at each venue.

The mob visits the selected businesses and make purchases of their choosing. The two mystery businesses to be mobbed will be announced promptly at 6:15 p.m.
