More than 7,600 people turned out Sunday to participate in the 24th annual CVS Caremark Downtown 5K – including WHS and Mount St. Charles students in the 3K High School Inspirational event.
The event, sponsored by Tufts Health Plan, drew about 1,400 students from the region. Woonsocket Patch caught up with a group from Mount St. Charles dressed up as fruit, self-dubbed the White Mambas. The sun began to shine in earnest just as they were called to the starting line.
