Milford Federal Savings & Loan Donates $1,000 to Woonsocket Catholic Schools

Four scholarships to be awarded to students in grades K-8.

 

Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association recently donated $1,000 to the Greater Woonsocket Catholic Regional School System (GWCRSS), consisting of two district schools: Monsignor Gadoury and Good Shepherd. The donation will allow for four $250 scholarships to be awarded to students in grades K – 8 who are in need of financial assistance for tuition.

“Milford Federal is proud to be an on-going supporter of the Greater Woonsocket Catholic School System,” said Diane Fregeau, Woonsocket Branch Manager. “The Monsignor Gadoury and Good Shepherd schools offer students a high quality education with sound guidance – and we’re pleased to be able to once again provide these scholarships to The GWCRSS was established in 1972 and consists of sixteen parishes and two unique schools serving the needs of Northern Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts."

Thousands of students have been educated in these schools and many have become leaders in their church and community. The schools are accredited by the RI Department of Education and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
