Free Back To School Supplies For Rhode Island Students.
St. James Baptist Church will host Rhode Island's 12th. Annual Back to School Celebration today.
Parents and students in Woonsocket and around the state can get free school supplies and enjoy fun activities and entertainment from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m at several locations throughout Rhode Island today.
For the 12th year in a row, school children in Providence and other parts of the state get to enjoy the annual celebration while stocking up for the upcoming school year. The event, which also features lots of games, food and entertainment, is taking place today at the following locations:

Pawtucket: 1 Columbus Ave. – PawSox McCoy Stadium
West Warwick: 505 Wakefield St. – Wakefield Hills Elementary School
The main sponsors for this year’s Back to School Celebration are Sodexo School Services, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, and Citizens Bank Foundation. The event has attracted nearly 12,000 students and families and is done in partnership with thirty-five community agencies across the state, including the City of Providence and Providence Schools. School children must be present at the event to receive free supplies.
