Friends and family of George Nasuti, Woonsocket's Athletic Director, are praying after he sustained a serious injury in a fall at a basketball game in Burrillville on Friday.
Police told the Valley Breeze that Nasuti is in grave condition at Rhode Island Hospital. He was reportedly conscious when officers arrived.
Friends and family have been posting prayers for Nasuti on a Facebook Page. A message to the group from a family member said he fell while running backwards and it put him into a coma.
"This is a tragic accident and his health is in question," the family member said. "with all respect please only repeat news that is fact. this is a very delicate issue .. thank you for your love."
