Although these homes are nice and have good views, I can tell you there are plenty of other homes on the Island which I would rather own and at a lot less cost. There's a lot to consider when buying on Block Island and these homes are likely for sale because the owners want to get their money back. My grandparents owned a home and property on the island years ago which had a main house and small cabin. My grandfather thought he was getting a deal in 1980 at $50,000.00 . The same house and property last sold for $980,000.00 and the house and property are basically the same except for some interior work. It's all about what someone is willing to pay.
