Health forum - YWCA Rhode Island will host a health disparities community forum with Rhode Island Department of Health Office of Minority Health on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.  The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at YWCA Rhode Island located at 514 Blackstone St.

The community forum will create an opportunity for residents to provide input about public health concerns and health disparities experienced by racial and ethnic minorities.  Attendees will also learn about how they can become engaged in moving their community towards health equity.  For more information, contact YWCA Rhode Island at 401-769 - 7450.

School Committee - The Committee's sub-committee on governance and policy will meet today at 4 p.m. at the McFee Administration Building, 108 High St., to discuss administrative contracts.

Register to vote - Oct. 7 is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election, and Oct. 16 is the deadline to request a mail-in ballot. This election season voters will also be required to show a voter ID.
