RI Statewide Planning Seeks Input from Northern Rhode Islanders

RI Statewide Planning is hosting a forum to create a state planning document and they need input from all Rhode Islanders - starting tonight in Woonsocket.

The agency's initiative, dubbed RhodeMap RI, looks at the big picture of Rhode Island’s future to make it a better place to live and work. The project will use new state plans to strengthening the economy, create vibrant neighborhoods, and plan for future growth. To achieve those goals, they aim to create jobs and train workers, provide safe homes people can afford.

Tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. (a one-hour open house precedes the formal 6-9 program) at One Depot Square, RI Statewide Planning will ask residents:

  • What’s it like living and working in Rhode Island?
  • How can we build a better Rhode Island?
  • How can we make our state more competitive and create new jobs?
  • How can we make our neighborhoods strong and vibrant?
  • Where do we want to grow, and what areas need protection?
  • How do we make our state the best it can be?
Light refreshments and child care will be provided.
