Rhode Island state law allows people who have not registered to vote to cast a ballot for the top office at City Hall
Yes, Virginia, you can vote for president on Election Day even if you didn't register.
According to Rhode Island General Law 17-1-3, people who missed the voter registration dealine may vote for president/vice president only at their local Board of Canvassers on Election Day.
In Woonsocket, that spot's at City Hall, 169 Main St., on the third floor. Board of Canvassers Clerk Henri Cyr said unregistered voters will have to register at their office first, then, "We're going to have a polling place across the hall," in Harris Hall, where City Council and Budget Commission meetings are usually held.

That polling place will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Cyr said.
