Friday Five: Weekend Snow, Matthew Center, Plows, Blog

You made it through the short holiday week - check out these things to know:

Weather - So, it's been winter for about a week now, and Mother Nature has gotten the memo. Despite yesterday's wet, warm 47 degree rainstorm, cooler temps will prevail over the weekend and will likely bring some snow on Saturday and again on Sunday. Set your boots and shovels by the door.

Matthew 25 Center -  The Matthew 25 Center of Hope is open Sunday, Dec. 30, 4 p.m. at River First United Methodist Church, 17 Federal St. Meals are open to the community. No Identification requirements except to sign in.  During these hard times the church has chosen to soften the financial burdens of the working middle class, homeless & marginal, by offering several meals during the winter months.
