Friday Five: Autumnfest, RiverzEdge, Race, Register

Autumnfest - Tonight, a fundraiser for the Rotary Club will feature Steve Malec & The Electric Flood at 5 p.m., opening up for Doors tribute band, "Through The Doors," at 7 to 11 p.m. at the Beergarden. Tickets for that night are free. Pizza and beer will be sold inside. Check out the Autumnfest website for details on the rest of the weekend.
 

RiverzEdge Ball - The  2012 Industrial Ball is coming Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at 7 p.m. RiverzEdge has made some changes - Tour the new studios and community art spaces at 7p.m.,  then come upstairs for the food, friends and fun. "In celebration of our new look come in a new look of your own. Maybe you need to wear moon boots, sideburns or a tiara..." Food is courtesy of Russell Morin Caterers. Tickets are $50.

Register to vote - Oct. 7 is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election, and Oct. 16 is the deadline to request a mail-in ballot. This election season voters will also be required to show a voter ID.

Register for Race - It is not too late to register the second Race Against Racism 5K run/walk being held during Woonsocket's annual Autumnfest celebration on Sunday October 7, 2012.  On race day, registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K will start at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $25 and $27 the day of the race.
