Bitter Cold Through Weekend, Snow Likely Saturday

Furnaces will be working overtime over the next few days as a bitter cold snap will keep temperatures below 20 degrees until a front that could bring more snow on Saturday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of just 17 degrees today, and wind will make that seem as cold at -3 degrees.  Tonight's low will be 2 and -8, respectively. Things get worse on Friday, with a high of just 13.

It will be a relatively balmy Saturday in comparison, which could see temperatures climb to about 33 degrees.

So how much snow will we get on Saturday? Right now, forecasts predict accumulations will probably be minor. That's the good news. The bad news is temperatures will start falling again, with single-digit mornings by Tuesday.
