WPD Busts Social Street Crack, Marijuana Dealer, Seizes Drugs

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, WPD officers armed with a warrant, acting on information that a man was dealing marijuana and crack from an apartment at 738 Social St., arrested a local man and seizing marijuana, crack and oxycodone.

According to police reports, detectives had obtained the warrant for Leon Robinson, 24, of 738 Social St., Apt. First Floor, Rear, after making a controlled buy of crack cocaine from the address. 

At 6:20 a.m., officers knocked on the door and entered the apartment, immediately locating Robinson, arresting him without incident. Robinson signed a release form and advised officers there was marijuana and crack in a safe under his bed. Officers opened the safe with Robinson's consent, finding marijuana, three baggies of crack cocaine and eight oxycodone pills, seizing them. They also found four cell phones, a glass jar full of marijuana seeds, a razor blade and a Kindle Fire.

A more thorough search of the apartment turned up more marijuana, for a total of  3.8 ounces, a small digital scale and a box of sandwich bags in a drawer, all of which were seized. 

Robinson was charged with possession of prescription pills, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack with intent to distribute, and maintaining a narcotic nuisance, all felonies.
