Worcester Man Charged In Saturday's Fairmount Street Bridge Shooting

Victim, shot four times, in stable condition. Woonsocket Police continuing to investigate.

 

Woonsocket Police have charged a Worcester man with attempted murder in the Saturday night shooting of a man on Fairmount Street Bridge.

Wooonsocket Police Public Information Officer Det. Jamie Paone reported this morning that officers have arrested Christian Rosado, 25, of 14 Orne St. apt. 3, Worcester, MA, in the case, charging him with with assault with intent to commit murder, assault with intent to commit felony, and firing in a compact area.

According to a release from Paone, Woonsocket Police officers responded to the area of Fairmount Street Bridge March 30 for reports of shots fired and a man lying in the road. The victim had been shot four times.  He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by rescue.  Currently the victim is listed in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.

Rosado will be arraigned in District Court today.
