Woonsocket Police Arrest Man for DUI, Reckless Driving July 6

Woonsocket Police arrested Johsua Dufresne, 21, at the corner of East School Street and West Main Street July 6 at 4:53 a.m., charging him with DUI and reckless driving after observing him speed through two stop signs.

An officer observed the car driven by Dufresne speed through the stop sign on East School Street at the corner of Rathbun Street, then also ignore the stop sign at Rathbun Street's intersection with East School Street. The officer stopped him at the West Main Street intersection, where he was arrested without incident, according to Woonsocket Police Det. Jamie Paone. 

Dufresne was charged with DUI, first offense, and reckless driving. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Sixth District Court July 18.
