Woonsocket Man Arrested for Posting Child Porn during Video Chats

State Police arrested a Woonsocket man Dec. 12, charging him with possession and transfer of child porn after receiving a tip that he'd been posting illegal images of children during video chat sessions.

Colonel Steven G. O'Donnell, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Commissioner of Public Safety stated in a release that members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Mousa Saeed, 20, of 323 Cass Ave., 1st floor, Woonsocket after their investigation of the tip.

The investigation identified Saeed as the person displaying the images, which led to a search of his residence. Investigators seized digital media allegedly belonging to Saeed that contains child pornography.

Saeed was processed and arraigned in Sixth Division District Court before the Honorable Judge Houlihan. Saeed was released on $5,000 personal recognizance with special conditions to include no contact with minors and no access to the Internet.

The Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force actively engages in investigative efforts to identify subjects involved in child exploitation-related activities.
