Woonsocket Independence Day Fireworks Set for July 3

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets. The fireworks show is set for July 3.

One of the highlights of celebrating Independence Day, next to recognizing the men and women who have served our country since its inception, is watching a fireworks display.

On July 3, Woonsocket and nearby residents will gather near the World War II memorial on Social Street to enjoy a fireworks show, capping off a night of festivities that will include music from Jeff Gamache "crooning patriotic songs and more," Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt said in a release.

The night begins at 7 p.m. The fireworks should begin around 9 p.m.

"Mayor Baldelli-Hunt invites all citizens of Woonsocket to join us as we celebrate our nation’s independence," the release stated.

Bring your lawn chair and/or blankets. Rain date is set for Sat., July 5.
