Woonsocket Assault Suspect Sent to ACI

Jared Parenteau, suspected in a May 6 vandalism in Woonsocket, faces felony charges in two other cases.

A Woonsocket man accused of throwing bottles at a Jeep and hitting the vehicle with a baseball bat remains held at the Adult Correctional Institutions to await trial in two other cases.

Jared Parenteau, 23, of 64 Bellevue Ave., surrendered to Woonsocket Police on July 12 and faces a misdemeanor charge of vandalism from the May 6 incident.

Parenteau also had warrants for his arrest stemming from two other cases brought by Woonsocket Police:

  • A case filed on May 13 of three counts of felony assault, one count of felony domestic assault, and one count of domestic disorderly conduct.
  • A case filed July 12 of one count of witness intimidation.
At a court hearing on July 12, Parenteau was remanded to the ACI until a scheduled Aug. 5 arraignment on the newest charge.
