At about 5:43 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Woonsocket Firefighters were called to 137 Mt St. Charles Ave. for a house fire.
The call was upgraded to a second alarm fire, and WFD crews brought the blaze under control within about an hour, according to reports from the Providence Canteen.
Woonsocket Ladder 1 was among the units dispatched to the scene. Fire photographer Ken Labelle caught a shot of one firefighter descending the truck's ladder after venting the roof during the WFD's response to the fire.
Turnto10.com reports The American Red Cross was called in to help the 2 families displaced by the fire, and no one was injured.
