Third Avenue Family Seeks Bike Stolen Overnight

Sometime between 11p.m. last night and 6 a.m. this morning, someone stole a black 20" Haro bike with white, gold and black lettering belonging to Brian Hayes from the porch of 462 3rd Ave., and the family's hoping readers can help find it.

"It wasn't chained. I left it there for three years, never had a problem till now," said Brian's dad, Jonathan Hayes.

The bike isn't mint. The front brake handle is broken, "If pressed, you can tell," Jonathan said. The seat is a little torn and it has a sticker on the bottom bar reading, "Recycle bicycle from Mill St." on it.

Hayes said the new Craft bike shop on Mill Street has posted a flyer about the bike, and he's also left word at the shop where they bought the bike, Recycled Bicycle, too. Hayes said he's also reported the theft to police.

If anyone's seen the bike, the family asks that they call 401-309-9705.
