State Trooper Log: Failing To Show Up In Court, Simple Assault

Troopers arrest city man for simple assault in court.

On Thursday, June 7, at 3 p.m., troopers arrested Bryan Borzell, age 34, of 24 Knight St., Woonsocket for Simple Assault.

The arrest was the result of the Capital Police contacting the Lincoln Woods Barracks in reference to an incident that occurred at Sixth District court.

Scituate Barracks 

Troopers arrest man for failing to appear on shoplifting charge

At 9 p.m. June 8, troopers arrested Kenneth Foster, age 42, of 160 Broad St., Providence, for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant Failure to Appear / Review of Community Service on the initial a charge of Shoplifting originating out of Woonsocket Police Department.

The arrest occurred as a result of troopers providing assistance to Foster while he was walking on Hartford Avenue in the Town of Johnston and finding that he had an active bench warrant. Foster was transported to Headquarters where he was processed then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution intake center.

Troopers arrest man for failing to appear on suspended license charge

At 3 p.m. June 11, troopers arrested Rady Martinez, age 28, of 351 New York Avenue, Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay for the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Fairmount Street in Woonsocket. Martinez was transported to Headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correction Institution's Intake Center.
