Wickford barracks: Troopers catch woman skipping sentencing

At 1:13 a.m. Oct. 22 Troopers arrested Marena Cruz, age 20 of 362 Park Place, Woonsocket, on a 6th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing, on an original charge of Driving on a Suspended License, originating out of the Central Falls Police Department. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution, Women's Intake Center.

Detective Bureau: Inmate charged with assault with bodily fluids

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27, detectives charged inmate Jamal Rogers, 19, of lka: 558 River Ave. Woonsocket, Rhode Island, with Assault with Bodily Fluids while incarcerated. Inmate Rogers was presented before the Third District Court where no plea was entered on the felony charge. Judge Houlihan set bail at $5,000 personal recognizance. Inmate Rogers was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institution.
