Man assaults Waterview resident for interupting football game-

John Mirabella, 59, a resident of Waterview Apartments at 300 Privilege St. was arrested on Sunday for assault on a person over 60. A witness told police that Mirabella was watching a football game in the community room when 68 year-old Richard Blais came in to play music for the other residents. Mirabella became angry about the noise level and an argument ensued. According to the witness, Mirabella walked up to Blais and swung at him with a closed fist. He then grabbed his fellow resident by the neck and choked him until he fell to the ground. Blais was speaking, but still on the ground when police arrived and medical assistance was en route. A security tape at the facility confirmed the witness report.

Does 59 count as "senior" for housing, or does Waterview take a wider variety of residents than just seniors?

Sadly to say all the high rises and privitely owned complexes in the city and I assume elsewhere that if you are under the age of 62 and disable then you can live in these places. Years ago is was just for the eldely but now with the new laws they can not discrimenate. I say bring it back for the eldely only !!! some are so afraid to come out of their apstments because of certain individuals.... its a shame how these places degrarded.
