Police Log: Officers Called For Arguing Women, Arrest Man, Woman On Warrants

The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Sunday, Dec. 9, at 9:29 p.m., Woonsocket Police repsonded to Wood Avenue for a domestic disturbance to find four people who told them two women there, Cheryl Cacciato and Louise Lapierre (later identified as Louise Romano) had just had a minor argument, according to a police report.

All the occupants assured officer David Bibeault there was no need for police to intervene. Before leaving the scene, Bibeault ran background checks on all four occupants of the apartment, discovering a man there, John Morin, 47, of 51 Wood Ave., apt. 2 right, was wanted on a Superior Court bench warrant. Bibeault arrested Morin.

A check on "Lapierre" failed to turn up anyone by that name after several attempts. "Lapierre" insisted her information was correct. Finally, a check of her tattoos provided a match with Louise Romano, 37, of 51 Wood Ave., apt. 2 right .

The name was broadcast over Bibeault's radio, promting Lapierre to admit, "Yeah, I lied about my name, but I haven't been arrested in a mad long time," according to Bibeault's report. That was a streak she was about to break — there was a Superior Court warrant for Romano's arrest. She was arrested as well, with an additonal charge of obstructing a police officer added to her record.

I think you're asking for a lawsuit rob. She ALLEGEDLY said those things. She ALLEGEDLY obstructed an officer. So much for journalistic integrity.
