Police Log: Man Arrested After Trashing Apartment

The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Woonsocket Police arrested Boriboune Vatsana, 38, of Woonsocket, after he lost his temper, throwing food, pots and pans and knives around a Wood Avenue apartment Feb. 9, putting a woman in fear of her life.

At about 3:05 p.m. that afternoon, according to Officer Mitchel Voyer's report, police were called to the Wood Avenue apartment for a domestic disturbance, finding Boriboune walking away.

The officers detained Boriboune, placing him in handcuffs while they spoke with the woman in the apartment. Upon entering, Voyer reported finding items strewn all over the kitchen, including food and pots and pans. A water tank had also been tipped over, and a laptop had been thrown and broken, allegedly by Boriboune. A pair of large kitchen knives had also been thrown on the bedroom's mattress, and a large flat-screen TV had a large gash in it. 

The woman in the apartment said that while Boriboune was throwing and breaking things, she ran from the apartment in fear of her life and called 911.

Boriboune said he had lost his temper. He was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.
