Police: Heroin Dealer Hid Drugs in Deodorant

Alfredo Balestier-Sanchez was arrested Tuesday.

Authorities said a Woonsocket man used a tube of deodorant for more than just staying fresh.

Alfredo Balestier-Sanchez, 32, was arrested Tuesday and charged with dealing heroin and fentanyl. Drug enforcement agents raided his home, where they said they found drugs hidden in a tube of deodorant.

Balestier-Sanchez, who authorities said goes by the name "Negro," was the subject on a month-long investigation by Woonsocket police and state drug agents. He allegedly sold drugs to an informant on three occasions.

Authorities released court documents laying out the case against Balestier-Sanchez.

If convicted, he faces a sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison and a $1 million fine.
