Man Turns Himself in on Warrant for Cady Street Break-In, Assault

On Dec. 9 at 7:45 a.m., Wayne Hall, 49, of 204 Main St., Sterling, CT, for whom Woonsocket Police had issued an arrest warrant in connection with an Aug. 8 burglary on Cady Street, turned himself in.

Hall was charged with felony assault and burglary, and immediately transported to Sixth District Court in Providence, where he was assigned a bail hearing on Dec. 20 and a pre-arraignment conference on Feb. 28.

Woonsocket Police Information Officer Jamie Paone said Hall was suspected of breaking into the home and striking an occupant of the home with a wooden club, inflicting minor injuries, before running off. Hall did not manage to steal anything during the break-in, Paone said.

She said Hall had learned about the warrant for his arrest and decided to turn himself in.
