A small earthquake hit Woonsocket Friday afternoon.

The 1.7-magnitude quake was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey at 1:38 p.m. about 2 miles northeast of the city center.

No immediate damage was reported.

I thought I was passing gas at that time, glad to know it was only an earthquake.
