July 9, 2013, 2:57 pm Email Print FacebookPROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island Attorney General's office says Woonsocket violated open records laws when it took more than three months to respond to a request for documents.
Attorney General Peter Kilmartin's office announced its determination Tuesday.
The investigation began after an attorney complained about the slow response to a request for information about land acquisition for a new water treatment plant.

In an affidavit, a city clerk said the request was broad and she was overworked.
