"WOONSOCKET" Rising or Razing

 "Could the city's problems get any worse" this is not even close to what's ahead. The policies that are going into place right now, and the mind set of the way out of this mess is going to be repeating history or following the same pattern as Detroit.  Record city taxes being collected. Higher and higher taxes. Total mismanagement of city and school depts. City property assets not able to be sold. Infrastructure barely being addressed. Police, fire vehicles barely being replaced.  Strong unions, don't be fooled, what the unions are giving up is just excess of what they should have never gotten anyway. Large businesses moving out. Record vacant buildings. Vacant space, commercial and residential. Properties falling into decay. Filth in the inner city. Now this is where its going to start getting worst, Even higher taxes, More and more buildings being demolished, creating less tax base.  I have seen mostly the wrong real-estate being torn down. We can thank poor city planning for this. Investors not able to do business, in an unfriendly and taxed to death city. Yes things are going to get worst.  Don't blame the welfare, the homeless, The entitled, These have always been here and will never go away. This part of society is just showing more lately due to the decline of the city. The only way out of this mess is to  lower commercial taxes. Bring the large company's back.They will come back. Lowering taxes is not a crazy idea if it is done properly.Figure a way to have an incentive to shop Woonsocket. Also , get rid of that stupid slogan "Woonsocket on the move"
