When Will Our City Councilors Stand Up For Us?

Today is the next City Council meeting.... let’s see which City Councilor stands up to Tom Bruce & The Mayor.... The tax payers where told that any bill over $200 was going to tax sale. Then in the Valley Breeze it says any bill over $100. The tax payers thought they could redeem themselves before August 2nd, but how did the Valley Breeze get the list on July 25th? 

Are they just making the rules up as they go along? But more importantly are the people you elected going to stand up and ask these questions? At what point do the people who solicited my vote, get angry? Taxes are up 23% and we have a supplemental tax bill! The finance director will sell your house if you owe a nickel... Why are the city councilors not angry? 

You are literally destroying people’s lives. You didn’t raise taxes so families will have one less pizza or movie night a month. You are crushing the dream to stay in their homes during retirement, the ability to send their children to college or to even feed themselves. 

City Councilors...... When you walk in the entrance to City Hall for your next meeting, please take a minute to look at the Abraham Lincoln plaque before you head upstairs, you may never save a nation like he did, but you might save someone’s home.
