Panera Plainville Reschedules Pal-apalooza Event To Benefit Ryan's Hope Foundation For Sunday, September 15th Due To Weather

September 10, 2013 — Due to inclement weather this past Sunday, Panera Bread Plainville announces that it has rescheduled its Pal-apalooza event to benefit the Ryan’s Hope Foundation based in Plainville, for Sunday, September 15th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Hosted by the Plainville Athletic League at its Everett Skinner Road field complex, the free admission, family-focused event is open to the public and will feature a Kids’ Home Run Derby, a whiffleball tournament, a speed pitch game, face painting, prizes, a cook-out and more.  A Panera employee softball game will also be part of the fun.  For those interested in being an event sponsor or donating to the cause, please visit https://palapalooza.eventbrite.com/.

Plainville’s Linda and Scott Hastings formed the Ryan’s Hope Foundation in 2003 after their young son, Ryan, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  DMD is a progressive muscular disease that strikes approximately one in every 3,500 young boys. The Foundation was formed specifically to speed the rate of scientific research that will lead to a cure for DMD.  Information about the Ryan’s Hope Foundation, a non-profit, 501©(3) organization, can be found at www.HopeForRyan.com
