Family Fun With The Feinstein Card

This week in the Grab and Go Kid's Planner, Patch looks at the great deals for families available with the Feinstein Junior Scholar Club Card.

Welcome to the weekly Kids' Planner! This week, find out what you've been missing if you're not using the Feinstein Card.

Wondering where to take the kids during school vacation? It's as simple as using your child's Feinstein Junior Scholar Club Card.  This hidden gem, overlooked by many, provides opportunities for students as well as adults to enjoy some of the state's most popular attractions - free of charge. 

The Mystic Aquarium: http://www.mysticaquarium.org
Where/When: Located in Mystic, CT just off Exit 90 on Interstate 95. Open daily 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.   
Why Go: Mystic Aquarium is one of the nation's leading aquariums that allows you to get up close to sea lions, seals, penguins and jelly fish and is home to one of the largest Beluga Whale exhibits in the United States. Mystic Aquarium also features exhibits and shows including the marine theater show.
Pricing: One Time Free Admission with card for student and one adult.  

Battleship Cove: http://www.battleshipcove.org                            
Where/When
: 75 Water St., Fall River, MA, only 20 minutes from Providence. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.             
Why Go: Battleship Cove is the world's largest historic naval ship exhibit which allows you to explore the battleship, USS Massachusetts; the Destroyer, USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr.; and the USS Lionfish submarine, as well as other exhibits.  You'll get to experience firsthand what it was like to serve and live on a Navy warship in WWII.                       
Pricing: Free Admission with card for student and one adult.

Bank of America Skating Rink at Kennedy Plaza

Where/When: 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence, RI 02093 / Open Nov. 20, 2010 to March 20, 2011, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.   
Why Go: Twice the size of Rockefeller Plaza's ice rink in NYC, this 14,000 sq. ft. skating rink is fun for the whole family.
Pricing: Free Admission with card for student and one adult.

The Providence Children's Museum: http://www.childrenmuseum.org
Where/When
: Right off route 95 at 100 South St., Providence. Open Tue.-Sun. 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Why Go: The museum is all about learning through play. Exhibits for children ages 1 through 11 explore arts, culture, history and science. Be sure to check out their calendar for upcoming events.
Pricing: One Time Free admission with card for student and one adult.

Where/When: 1170 Fall River Ave., Seekonk, MA  - Any Saturday Night Show during regular season which beings in April.   
Why Go: Seekonk Speedway is Southern New England's premier NASCAR track that offers various racing events throughout the season.  
Pricing: Free Admission with card for student and one adult.
