Veronica A. (McGuigan) Rogoze, 93: Worked at McCarthy's, Avid Sox Fan

Veronica A. (McGuigan) Rogoze, 93, of Park Place, died Saturday Nov. 9, 2013 at The Friendly Home, Woonsocket, according to Holt Funeral Home

She was the wife of the late Metro Rogoze. Born in Holliston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen (Morgan) McGuigan. She worked for the former McCarthy's Department Store of Woonsocket for about 10 years before having her children, then after her husband passed in 1965, she went back to work as a Head Cashier for Lerner's Department Store of Providence, retiring in 1983.

An Avid Red Sox Fan, she enjoyed being with her family and was a good cook. She is survived by two sons, James Rogoze and his wife Janet of Sarasota, FL, Mark Rogoze and his wife Jennifer of Lebanon, PA, two daughters Ann Goulet and her husband Lee of Woonsocket, and Judith Peloquin of Woonsocket, a sister Theresa Bushnell of Hopedale, MA; and three grandchildren, Lindsay & Jack Rogoze, and April Stavros. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Bliss, Mae Gilman and Catherine Ordway.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA, Burial will follow in the Parish cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
