Stephen P. Morelle, 56: Fisherman, Family Man

Stephen P. Morelle, 56, of Cote Ave., died December 13, 2013 at home, according to Holt Funeral Home.

He was the husband of Sally E. (Esten) Morelle, whom he married Sept. 2, 2000.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Andree (Fugere) Morelle of Lincoln and the late Pierre Morelle. Morelle was an avid salt and fresh water fisherman, enjoyed playing cards and loved being surrounded by family and friends.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Peter Morelle of Riverside, a stepdaughter, Sarah Mehlenbacher of Woonsocket, three brothers, Charles Morelle of Exeter, Christopher Morelle of Cape Coral, FL and Robert Morelle of Pascoag, a sister, Annique Beauchamp of Woonsocket and a grandson, Jack Mehlenbacher. He was the brother of the late Lise Morin.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Save the Bay, c/o Save the Bay Center, 100 Save the Bay Dr., Providence, RI 02905.
