Lena M. Pandolfi: Retired Mill Worker, Connoisseur, Accomplished Cook

North Smithfield resident died Feb. 19 at Landmark Medical Center.

 

Lena M. Pandolfi, 88, of North Smithfield died peacefully Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center, according to Menard-Lacouture funeral home.

She was the wife of the late Dominic Pandolfi.

Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Paulo and Evelina (Cheli) Saisi. She was raised in Manville and resided in North Smithfield for over 60 years.

Mrs. Pandolfi was employed by the H & H Screw Company and later at the Rochambeau Worsted Mill prior to retiring in 1975.

She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish and a member of the RSVP Club and the Golden Agers.

Lena was a connoisseur of fine food and an excellent cook in her own right.

A woman of keen intellect, sharp wit and profound wisdom, Lena will be most remembered as being a loving wife mother and grandmother.

Lena is survived by a son Wayne Pandolfi and a daughter Linda Deguire, and her husband Richard, all of North Smithfield. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the mother and mother-in-law of the late Joyce (Pandolfi) Vose and the late Wayne Vose.

Her funeral will be this morning at 9 a.m. from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone.
