Donald R. Belisle, 55: Painter, Sox Fan, Outdoorsman

Funeral will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church.

Donald R. Belisle, 55, of Loring Street, died Dec. 2, 2013 after a long illness, according to Holt Funeral Home

He was the husband of Janice M. (Cote) Belisle whom he married April 13, 1991. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Normand and Muriel (Boucher) Belisle.

He worked for twenty years as a painter for Blackstone Valley Enterprises. Donald was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his best friend of forty-five years, Brian Auclair of No. Providence; his little buddies who were like grandchildren to him, Ryan and Jacob Murillo and their mother Christine Garcia of Woonsocket; three brothers, Richard, Jerry, and Norman Belisle all of Woonsocket; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Ronald Belisle.

His funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life New England, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
