The Second half of the Summer Movie blockbusters,,,?

As I get my feet wet on here for this blog, I went over a few of the bigger movies that had been released early in the summer months in the last posting. Those were some of my favorite films. And of course there are a few smaller films that were seen that I did like and were good but not great. "Now You See Me", a film about four magicians puling several heists during their combined magic show was quite entertaining and Id advise you all to check it out. Its not a big screen film, but as a at home dvd you should find it likeable.

World War Z  starring Brad Pitt was one of the biggest budget zombie flicks you will ever see. Zombies have been very big and still continue to dominate the entertainment field especially with AMC's The Walking Dead. I've got nothing against zombies. You gotta love them. And World War Z gives as plausible story as you can get with the dead coming back to life.  Based on a novel of the same title, the premise of the dead coming back in as little as 10seconds keeps the action going thru the whole movie. I very much recommend it if you haven't had the chance to see it yet.

I did forget to mention Star Trek 2 Into Darkness. Like the first movie, it was an amazing story and visual masterpiece, but so much better than the first one. J.J.Abrahms has the Midas touch when he does a movie. and of course for those that haven't heard, he will be directing Star Wars chapter VII.

There were also a number of films that came and went quickly. "After Earth", "Gatsby", "The Purge",  "This is The End",  "The Heat" , "Grown ups 2",  "RIPD" and "The Conjuring" which I personally wanted to see, but haven't gotten the chance yet. Oh and lets not forget the SyFy classic "Sharknado" Something about a that movie makes it a guilty pleasure.

Now that we did a quick recap, here are some upcoming movies to watch for.
Kick Ass2 was just released continuing the adventures of Hit-Girl.
"The World's End" with Simon Pegg.
"The Mortal Instruments- City of Bones" an urban fantasy.
"Closed Circuit" This looks very interesting.
"Riddick" Vin Diesel in his sci-fi character.
"Insidious 2" We just can't seem to get enough of this.
"Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2" one of the funnier      CGI movies for kids.
"Gravity" The sci fi thriller which could be a Oscar nominee.
"Carrie" the new remake with Chloe Moritz in the title role.
"Thor 2- The Dark World"
"The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire"
And in December;
"The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug"
Next time ill give you a synopsis of a few of the bigger movies to come out. And Ill also start to do a run down on  the upcoming fall TV season. Since I like a lot of the more fantasy based and quirky kind of things, that's probably what I'll be focusing on.

Anyways, thanks for reading this if you are. I'm still getting used to the blogging thing, so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot smoother as time goes on. and please feel free to comment on anything.
I love questions.
