Morin Family Nearing $5,000 Fundraising Goal After Fire

Firefighters and samaritans saved families from the flames that claimed their home at 631 S. Main Street Sept. 22, and an online campaign to help the Morin Family is nearing its $5,000 goal with good news.

"I wanted to send a big thank you to everyone that has donated. We are remodeling our new apartment now and should be in by the end of the month," Stephanie Morin wrote in November on her GoFundMe donation page, which has raised $3,515 of their target $5,000.

Morin and her children lost everything in the fire. "Everything is gone, anything is a huge donation to us," she wrote on the page, which lists items the family is in need of. Now, according to the page, the family needs volunteers to fix up their new home.

People interested in continuing to donate can reach the family through the Gofundme site or their Facebook page.
