Woonsocket Primary: Where's Your Polling Place?

Here's where to find the info you need if you're voting in Woonsocket tomorrow.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 8) is the Woonsocket City Primary — here's your guide to local polling places and the new Voter ID law. 

For the primary, only the mayoral race is relevant. All the current City Council candidates will make it on the ballot. That leaves voters to decide which candidates for mayor they'd like to see on the ballot this year: Mayor Leo Fontaine, challenger Rep. Lisa Baldelli-Hunt (D-Dist. 49) or challenger Dave Fisher.

Where do I vote?

See the list below to find the location of your polling place; visit the RI Secretary of State's Voter Information website to see which voting district is yours, and to view sample ballots.

Voting Dist. 1 (Sen. 20): Middle School at Hamlet gym, 60 Florence Dr.  

Voting Dist. 2 (Sen. 24): John F. Kennedy Manor, 547 Clinton St.

Voting Dist. 3 (Sen.24):  Park View, 218 Pond St.

Voting Dist. 4 (Sen. 24): Fairmont Heights - 525 Second Ave.

State Rep. Dist. 50

Voting Dist. 5 (Sen. 20):  100 Front St.     

Voting Dist. 6 (Sen. 24):  Fire Station #1, 169 Providence St.

What about Voter ID?

This year, all Rhode Island voters will be required to show a valid ID prior to voting, which include driver's licenses, passports, school identification cards, and RIPTA bus passes, among others, according to the Secretary of State's Voter ID web page. A photo ID will be required in 2014.
