MAYORAL RACE:

Incumbent Mayor Leo Fontaine

Challenger Rep. Lisa Baldelli-Hunt (D-Dist. 49)

The candidates have each offered plans for restoring about 1,300 street lights darkened in 2010, though Baldelli-Hunt announced hers first, entailing cutting the Economic Development Director position, which Fontaine criticized as a poor trade-off. Then Fontaine hinted at his own plan. Finally, Baldelli-Hunt amended hers and Fontaine outlined his own plan.

Baldelli-Hunt took issue with Fontaine's late campaign finance report, characterizing the slight as a deliberate deceit, despite her own late filings

The two candidates have also participated in many debates, audio of which are posted to Mywoonsocket.com.
