Woonsocket Fire Capt. Michael Morin on Tuesday will be sworn as state representative.

Morin, a Democrat, last month won a special election to fill the House seat formerly occupied by Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, according to WPRI.com. Baldelli-Hunt in November was elected mayor of Woonsocket.

Morin, who's also a former president of the town's firefighter union, defeated Douglas T. Brown and Mark Chenot in January's primary.
