Networking at Night - Join NRICC tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foolproof Brewing Company, 241 Grotto Avenue, Building D, Unit 1, Pawtucket, 401-334-1000, for  food, refreshments and a tour. Cost: $10 Members pre-registered; $15 Members register at the door; $30 Non members.  food, refreshments and a tour at Foolproof Brewing Company.

Lend a hand - If you'd like to help out the Gardners, who ran out of their 198 Front St. apartment with the clothes they were wearing during Friday night's fire and not much else, you can contact contact Marcos Andano at 401-516-2551, or bring donations to 37 Paradis Ave. The family's boys are 5, 2 and 1-years old. 

Diner for lease - Been itching to start up a new restaurant? Neighborworks Blackstone River Valley is offering experienced restauranteurs a lease of the diner car once home to “Champs Diner,” on Park Avenue, now waiting a new tenant and customers at 719 Front St. The car was one of more than 600 diners produced by the Worcester Lunch Car and Carriage Manufacturing Company. 

Free Tax Services Connecting for Children & Families (CCF) is reopening its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site in Woonsocket.  The VITA program provides free tax preparation for families with income less than $50,000.  The tax preparers are trained and certified by IRS to do federal and state taxreturns.  This free service is available Mondays – Fridays 9:30 AM to 2:30 p.m. and Thursday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hope Street Family Center at 46 Hope Street, Woonsocket. WOULDN'T IT BE WONDERFUL IF WE COULD ACTUALLY HELP THE GARDNERS BY CALLING THAT NUMBER ABOVE, I HAVE AND THAT NUMBER IS "DISCONNECTED" I HAVE MANY ITEMS I'D LIKE TO DONATE BUT I'D LIKE SOMEONE TO PICK THEM UP.

Yvette - I'm sorry about that. I suppose it may have been disconnected since they gave it to me. I'll try to get in touch with them and provide some better information.
