Welcome to Wednesday, and today's things to know:

 

Curriculum - The School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m., at the Hamlet Middle School, 60 Florence Drive, to discuss, among other things, the appointment of a new curriculum director for the school department. 

State Job - There's a job posting for a social worker making at least $43,321 a year with the RI Human Services Department. Polish up your resume.

Chamber - The Northern RI Chamber of Commerce meets tonight, 5-7 p.m. at 1066 Diamond Hill Road, for Networking at Night. Put on your jackets and ties for an evening of rubbing elbows.

Diner for lease - Been itching to start up a new restaurant? Neighborworks Blackstone River Valley is offering experienced restauranteurs a lease of the diner car once home to “Champs Diner,” on Park Avenue, now waiting a new tenant and customers at 719 Front St. The car was one of more than 600 diners produced by the Worcester Lunch Car and Carriage Manufacturing Company.

Applications to win the lease, including a resume and business plan, are due Feb. 13.
