Welcome to the start of a short week for most, and a week off for students - and check out these things to know:

Supplemental Tax Today - The Woonsocket Budget Commission will discuss how to assess tax bills to increase the city's 2012 tax levy by 4.5 percent  today. The increase is one element of the Commission's plan to fix the city's $14.5 million deficit over the next five years. They'll meet at City Hall in Harris Hall at 3 p.m.

School's out: Winter recess is this week, so watch out on the roads today. There won't be buses to look out for this morning, but kids might be out and about exercising their free time.

Wait till the Fed's really start cutting,we'll see what happens to their 5 year "plan".Instead of putting on a show at 3pm,they should be at the State House lobbying to get some of Woonsocket's odious debt written off.
