Monday Five: Zoning and Stadium Building, Nixle, Water Flushing

Welcome to another Monday, and check out these things to know:

Zoning Board - The Woonsocket Zoning Board of Appeals meets tonight, 7 p.m. in Harris Hall at City Hall. Among the things on their agneda, the board will . The building needs waivers on parking restrictions, setbacks and on how far condos can be from their neighbors — in this case, the Stadium Theatre — before the plan can be put in place. The owner intends a $1.25 million project to convert the space into 21 condo units.

Water flushing through June - Woonsocket's Water Division will flush city water pipes between April 22 to June 28 in the south-west part of the city, starting at Manville Rd. Unidirectional Flushing Program (UDF) is a method of cleaning the water mainlines through a network of flushing sequences with the water being discharged from a fire hydrant. In some cases, homes may experience a temporary drop in water pressure and/or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run cold water until it turns clear. (If you run hot water, the mineral deposits can settle into your water heater.)
