Finally Friday Five: Costumes, Scouting For Food, Button Prize, Things

The weekend is nigh. Here are some things to keep in mind today:

Costume Contest Extended - Since most Halloween activities were postponed on the East Coast, we're extending the deadline for the national Halloween Costume Contest from Nov. 1 to Monday, Nov. 5.

So — Proud of your getup for Halloween this year? Did you toil long hours with makeup, needle and thread? You've got one day left in the Patch Halloween Costume Contest.  for our nationwide competition.

Scouting for Food - Tomorrow, members of Troop 2 OLQM, Pack 2 OLQM, Pack 6 St. Joseph's, and Crew 13 of All Saints Parish will be collecting the bags they dropped off for the 25th Annual Scouting for Food Drive, beginning at 9 a.m.

Autumnfest Button - The new Autumnfest Button winner has a shot at the $100 prize, if the owner of button #753 still has it and can call in to WNRI at 401-769 - 6925 before Tuesday. A re-drawing for unclaimed button prizes will be held after that.  

Trash - Regular trash and recycling pickup is back on schedule following Hurricane Sandy. Yard waste pickup is still backed up - Wednesday and Thursday's pickup will happen today, and Friday's yard waste pickup will happen on Saturday. Got a question about all that?
