Panera Bread In Lincoln Announces Opening Day On Wednesday, December 4th

Public can also “Drive-Thru For a Cause” during private Preview Parties on December 2nd and 3rd by donating $10 and receive meal, bakery item & beverage

November 26, 2013 — Anticipation is “rising” as the new Panera Bread in Lincoln, Rhode Island prepares to celebrate its opening day on Wednesday, December 4th.  The bakery-cafe, located at Albion Commons on 613 George Washington Highway, is the first Panera in the state to feature a Drive-Thru.

The opening represents 84 new jobs for the area and marks the 8th bakery-cafe in Rhode Island and the 26th bakery-cafe owned by Panera franchisee, the Howley Bread Group of Cumberland, Rhode Island.  Featuring the company’s warm and welcoming design, the 4,100 square-foot cafe with 86 interior seats and 22 seats on the outdoor patio will be open Monday – Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We’re happy to be part of the Lincoln community and are excited to meet our new customers,” said Chrissy Serpa, General Manager of Panera Bread Lincoln.  “We encourage everyone in the area to come enjoy our returning holiday menu items including my favorite, the Holiday Bread.”  Serpa added that three local charities are benefiting from the funds collected at Panera Lincoln’s early December Preview Parties: Children’s Friend, Lincoln Public Schools and Northern Rhode Island Food Pantry.

The public can get involved too by participating in “Drive-Thru for a Cause”” during the private Preview Parties.  Donate $10 to a local charity at the Drive-Thru window and receive a complete meal, bakery item and a beverage.  On December 2nd, head to the Drive-Thru to support Children’s Friend from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Please RSVP atwww.PaneraDriveThruForACause.eventbrite.com.  Then on December 3rd, consider donating to the Lincoln Public Schools from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and then the Northern Rhode Island Food Pantry from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Please RSVP at atwww.LincolnPaneraDriveThruForACause.eventbrite.com.

The beneficiary of Panera Bread Lincoln’s Panera Cares Community Breadbox Program will be the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, a Feeding America® member food bank based in Providence, Rhode Island. The Program gives customers the opportunity to donate money at the counter to support the Food Bank’s efforts to provide nutritious food to Rhode Islanders in need

Like all Panera Bread bakery-cafes, the Lincoln location will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offer a variety of menu items, including breads and bagels, breakfast sandwiches, creative lunch and dinner sandwiches, pastas, hand-tossed salads, homemade soups and a variety of espresso beverages.  Panera Bread/HBG also has a Donations Department where organizations can request food donations for various non-profit fundraisers and events.  Please visit www.panerabreadhbg.com and click on “Donations, Partnerships and Charities” to either request a donation.

The Panera Bread Lincoln location is one of eight bakery-cafes in Rhode Island owned by Panera franchise, the Howley Bread Group, LTD of Cumberland, Rhode Island.  The company’s other Panera bakery-cafes in the state are located in Cranston, East Greenwich, Newport, Providence, Smithfield, Wakefield and Warwick.  Howley Bread Group owns and operates a total of twenty-six bakery-cafes in Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut markets.
